Lady Justice Rita Makarau was sworn in as an Acting Judge of the Supreme Court by Chief Justice Peter Shivute on Wednesday. Makarua joins Lady Justice Hannelie Prinsloo and Lady Justice Esi Schimming-Chase in what Shivute described as a deliberate move to increase female representation on the Supreme Court Bench.
