The Health Ministry has drawn attention to the mining sector’s susceptibility to increased tuberculosis infections, attributing the issue to confined spaces and inadequate ventilation. Health Executive Director, Ben Nangombe pointed out that miners face a staggering 10 times higher TB incidence compared to the general population.
