A 28-year-old Namibian male was arrested on Friday after he was found in possession of a rhino horn valued at N$300 000 at Outjo in the Kunene Region. The Namibian Police Force in their crime report say the suspect was apprehended at the Outjo/Okaukuejo public road after he was found with a parcel containing the rhino horn. Chief Inspector Elifas Kuwinga noted that the suspect was arrested during a police operation when his vehicle with Outjo registration was stopped and searched. The suspect is in police custody at the Outjo Police Station holding cells and investigations continue. In a separate incident on Saturday, a 58-year-old foreign national was forcefully robbed of her personal belongings valued at N$65 280. No recovery or arrest has been made and investigations continue.
