The first-ever Walvis Bay Maritime Festival, scheduled for 04-05 August 2023, is set to highlight the crucial role of the maritime industry in driving Namibia’s economic growth and development. According to the Namibia Press Agency, with the theme ‘Preserving a Healthy Ocean Ecosystem for a Resilient Economy,’ the festival, led by Walvis Bay Mayor Trevino Forbes, aims to pay tribute to Namibia’s maritime heritage and emphasize the importance of ocean conservation for a sustainable and resilient economy.
