A student at the Okakarara Vocational Training Centre allegedly committed suicide by hanging, at Otjiwarongo on Tuesday morning.
The student was on the same day identified by his close relatives as Shipingana Lukas Nghihepavali. Namibian Police Force head of community affairs in the Otjozondjupa Region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha says that the 25-year-old Nghihepavali left behind a suicide note which he addressed to his sister. According to Mbeha the deceased’s body was found in bushes behind the crocodile farm at the town, hanging with a rope around his neck on a tree by a passer-by who alerted the police.
