The GOOD Party says the conflict in the Middle East has resulted in extreme divisions among people in South Africa. The party has condemned the assault of Communicare CEO Anthea Houston last week. She was part of a group who were peacefully protesting against the killing of Palestinians in Gaza when a participant in the Cape Town Marathon assaulted her. GOOD’s secretary-general, Brett Herron, says they continue to call for an immediate cease-fire and de-escalation of the conflict between Israel and Hamas:
