NamPol in the Ohangwena Region are investigating the deaths of a woman and her son

The police in the Ohangwena Region are investigating the deaths of a woman and her son, whose bodies were discovered by a neighbour at Okanghudi village on Saturday. The Namibian Police Force’s Ohangwena Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Zachariah Amakali said the bodies were found in a thatched room within their residence by their neighbour, who had gone to check on them. The deceased have been identified as Miriam Johannes, whose age is unknown, and Simon Petrus, who is estimated to be around 61 years old. The deceased individuals were residing in the same house. He said the cause of their deaths was unknown and the bodies were transported to the Eenhana District State Hospital mortuary for autopsies to be carried out. Police investigations continue.
