SA’s Minister of Electricity Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says in January this year, a decision was made to proceed with constructing temporary stacks at the Kusile power station due to the anticipated prolonged delay in remedial works on the permanent stacks. The construction is progressing ahead of schedule. Ramokgopa says Kusile’s unit five was initially planned for completion this month, but the work has been delayed and a revised project plan will see the unit being synchronised to the grid by December:
