The governor of the Erongo region encouraged regular dental check-ups, emphasisng the importance to allow professionals to detect and address dental issues before they escalate. Neville Andre Itope said that dental visits should not be limited to emergency situations but should be planned as preventative measures. Itope said this during the closing ceremony of the National Oral Health week through a speech delivered on his behalf at Walvis Bay on Friday, further explaining that at times oral health is underestimated, although it plays a vital role in one’s health.
