The George Municipality in the Southern Cape says all its beaches remain closed to pedestrians and vehicles due to very high tides and rough sea conditions. Disaster Management and Service teams are on high alert and are closely monitoring the situation. Spokesperson Ntobeko Man-gqwen-gqwe says more high tide surges, with predicted swells up to 2.9 meters, are forecast for this afternoon
