Severe weather hitting South Africa

The death toll following severe weather in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal Province brought on by a tornado has risen to four with one person still missing. Heavy snow has been reported in the Eastern Cape town of Barkley East, and road networks and mountain passes connecting communities in the southern Drakensberg are expected to be closed because of potential disruptive snow. The SA Weather Service also predicted the isolated loss of livestock in areas like Molteno, Barkley East, Lady Grey and Matatiele.
