Minister of Health Joe Phaahla has confirmed there have been no cholera cases in more than three months following the outbreak in Hammanskraal, Pretoria. The minister revealed the person who recently passed away had been erroneously diagnosed with cholera and was subsequently found to have underlying co-morbidities. He briefed the media on the state of the public health system in response to public concerns regarding avian flu.
