Ramaphosa bemoans challenges

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has blamed the Covid-19 pandemic, state capture and continued economic downturn for why the new dawn he promised when taking office at the Union Buildings has not materialised. News24 reports that, speaking to the media at a post-national executive committee meeting roundtable, he said he counted at least 14 hurdles that had impeded his presidency, claiming that he has faced more challenges than any other president in a democratic South Africa.
