Today is the International Day of the Girl Child. A day that supports opportunities for girls and increases awareness of gender inequality faced by girls worldwide. The Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication, and Social Welfare spokesperson Lukas Haufiku says the government has developed a policy that speaks to the girl child’s well-being.
