Shalu Yadav reports from New Delhi Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun a three-day visit to South Africa where he will attend the BRICS summit. This is the first in-person BRICS meet since 2019 when the COVID pandemic hit. At the sidelines of the summit, Mr Modi is expected to hold a series of bilaterals. The Indian government has not denied that a meeting with China’s Xi Jingping could be on the cards, saying the Indian Prime Minister’s schedule is still being finalised.
