The Judiciary announced the appointment of lawyer Elia Shikongo, to the Judicial Service Commission. Shikongo, who is the Managing Partner of Shikongo Law Chambers, was appointed by President Hage Geingob as a member of the Judicial Service Commission for a period of three years, effective 14 August. He was nominated for appointment by the Namibia Law Association and succeeds Vicki Erenstein ya Toivo whose term of office ended on 15 July 2023.
