Attorney General Festus Mbandeka on Monday said the increase in the number of crimes recorded over the past two years, requires the need to attain efficiency and effectiveness in the prosecution of crimes. The Namibia Press Agency reports that while speaking at a meeting with Public Prosecutors from all 14 regions in Swakopmund, he noted that the Namibian Police Force had reported a seven percent rise in reported criminal cases between 2021 and 2022.
