Zimbabwe’s President urges more votes for his party

Zimbabwe’s President told over 150,000 supporters in the capital of Harare they would be ‘lost’ if they did not re-elect him at this month’s tense polls. Emmerson Mnangagwa added that no one will stop them from ruling the country. According to the AFP News Agency, Zimbabwe votes on August 23 to elect the president and legislature. Suspicions over possible election irregularities are rife in a nation that has been ruled by the same party since independence in 1980 and has a long history of disputed votes.
