US House of Representatives in stasis after second Speaker election defeat

US Congressman Jim Jordan has failed for the second time to win enough votes to become Speaker of the House of Representatives, leaving the heart of American democracy in a state of paralysis. The hardline conservative Representative had bid to step into the vacant seat of power, left after the ousting of Kevin McCarthy weeks ago. But Jordan fell short again on Wednesday, with 22 of his own Republican Party colleagues voting against him. Benji Hyer reports.
