The future of the abortion pill mifepristone in the US is once again in jeopardy after a federal appeals court on Wednesday ruled to restrict its use. The pill, which is used in more than half of all abortions, will stay on the market for now, but if the case is taken up by the Supreme Court, as expected, the restrictions will go into effect.
