The University of Namibia has launched its renewable energy generation project in an effort to move to help reduce Namibia’s carbon footprint and contribute to the global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The project, which will cost approximately N$65 million, is expected to yield substantial savings, including a reduction in electricity consumption of up to 6.5 million kWh units per year.
