The UN has confirmed that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will participate in the BRICS Leaders’ Summit which is underway in Johannesburg. Representatives from over 40 countries are expected to attend the summit. The SABC reports that Guterres is expected to make key interventions at the BRICS Africa Outreach and the BRICS Plus dialogue meetings later this week.
