The trial of the man accused of molesting 15 teenage boys and supplying them with alcohol will only commence in September.
Johann Maree was appointed a legal representative by the Directorate of Legal Aid. Meriam Kandoni is replacing Tuna Nhinda, who withdrew his services, citing untenable instructions. Nhinda, informed High Court Judge Christiaan Philanda on Monday about his intentions to withdraw, adding that he also did not receive the full docket. Maree’s trial was scheduled to begin in the High Court on Monday.
