Three people are missing following the weekend’s flooding in the Western Cape

Western Cape authorities say three people are missing following disruptive rain which has caused flooding across the province. Local Government, Environmental Affairs, and Development Planning MEC Anton Bredell says one person was swept away in the Groot Brakrivier while two people were reported missing in Villiersdorp. Six children trapped in three different houses in Strand were rescued. Emergency Services says mudslides were reported in Andrews Road, Hout Bay, and on Ou Kaapse Weg.
