The DA in South Africa says the Parliament fire report is deeply troubling and shows crucial deficiencies

The DA says the report on the fire that engulfed Parliament in January last year, demonstrates criminal negligence which led to the destruction of South Africa’s symbol of democracy. Secretary to Parliament Xolile George yesterday revealed the findings of an internal investigation commissioned a year ago. Five Parliament officials have been implicated in both system and human resource lapses that contributed to the fire.
