The DA in South Africa claims the Auditor General report exposes the Communication Department’s self-inflicted deterioration

DA spokesperson Natasha Mazzone says the recent Auditor General report exposes the Communication Department’s self-imposed degeneration. The report indicated the South African Post Office has incurred irregular expenditure of 156-million-rand and wasteful expenditure of 153-million-rand. In addition, it lost 138-million-rand to fraud, and a net loss of 2.2-billion-rand. Meanwhile, the SABC recorded a financial loss of 1.1-billion-rand for the 2022/23 financial year.
