Study reveals massive increase in health costs

A six-month study into allegations of anti-competitive practices within the private healthcare sector has revealed that per capita private health costs have increased from N$5,000 in 2005 to N$21,000 in 2021. Namibian Competition Commission spokesperson Dina //Gowases says that the study was commissioned following concerns of anticompetitive practices which may impede competition and increase the cost of healthcare services.
