AfriForum in South Africa is pressing for transparency, using the Promotion of Access to Information Act, to reveal all government donations to Cuba over the past two decades. The move follows revelations of 120-million-rand wasted on medical training in Cuba, which was 136-percent more expensive than local training. Their application seeks donation details, purpose explanations, correspondence, and fund origins for each donation.
