South African Political expert calls for UDM leader to hand over the reigns

Political expert Ntsikelelo Breakfast says it’s time for the United Democratic Movement to consider a leadership change from Bantu Holomisa, who broke away from the ANC in 1997. This comes as the party commemorated its 26th anniversary in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. Speaking to Newzroom Afrika, Breakfast said the UDM has largely revolved around Holomisa for the entirety of its existence. He also says the party lacks a national footprint and has not done well in the general elections:
