SA’s Minister of Electricity Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says Kusile power station’s units one, two and three have been out of service for a prolonged period. This is due to design flaws that resulted in the structural integrity of the flue-gas desulphurisation chimneys being compromised. Ramokgopa gave an update on the implementation of the Energy Action Plan. He says initial planning anticipated the temporary stacks would be completed and the three units returned to service from 28 November:
