Rwanda genocide suspect re-arrested

Rwandan fugitive Fulgence Kayishema, who’s being held in South Africa, has been apprehended based on a transfer order to face trial in Arusha, Tanzania, for genocide. The UN International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals requested the move, catching his legal team off guard. The charges against Kayishema involve his alleged orchestration of the murder of around 2,000 Tutsi refugees at a Catholic church in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide.
