President Geingob and German Chancellor Scholz hold talks

President Hage Geingob, who is set to address the general assembly on Wednesday, has held talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. They discussed joint leadership in the UN Summit for the Future, Climate Change Green Hydrogen, and collaborative efforts toward a shared approach to Genocide Reparations.

Meanwhile, UN Chief, António Guterres has called on world leaders gathering in New York for the UN General Assembly to come together despite differences.

UN General Assembly President, Dennis Francis says despite commitments by world leaders 1.2 billion people are still living in poverty. Francis was speaking at the opening of the Sustainable Development Goals summit in New York on Monday.
