Nigerian state imposes curfew

Nigeria has imposed a 24-hour curfew in a region of the north-central Plateau State after more tit-for-tat attacks killed at least another nine people. The AFP news agency reports that two months of clashes between nomadic herders and pastoral farmers in the region that straddles the dividing line between Nigeria’s mostly Muslim north and predominantly Christian south has left more than 200 dead.
