A leadership development training course for deputy commissioners from various directorates, regions and divisions of the Namibian Police Force, is underway in Swakopmund. The five-day workshop, which is being conducted by experts from the Namibian Institute of Public Administration and Management, will cover topics such as understanding the role and importance of leadership in the police force; understanding group dynamics and resolving conflict within team settings. It also aims to provide an understanding of the principles of crisis management and leading during emergencies as well as the impact of culture on performance and leadership
