Staying with Amushelelo… Namibia’s Wholesale and Retail Workers Union says activist Michael Amushelelo is being held in custody unfairly. The union’s secretary general, Victor Hamunyela, said Amushelelo acted in the interest of the masses and thus his prolonged detention is unfair. Amushelelo was arrested on 21 March over a public demonstration about Namibia’s high unemployment rate.
