Namibia observed Suicide Prevention Day, an annual event on 10 September, with the Ministry of Health and Social Services unveiling alarming statistics today. Between August 2022 and June 2023, Namibia recorded a total of 623 suicides. Health Minister Kalumbi Shangula disclosed that 82% of these cases involved adult men, 15% adult women, and 3% were children.
