Minister of Industrialisation and Trade, Lucia Lipumbu, alongside the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, Alexey Gruzdev, inked a significant agreement during the Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg. The memorandum of understanding, as revealed by Ministry spokesperson Elijah Mukubonda, paves the way for extensive cooperation in crucial sectors like metallurgy, chemical industries, transport, special machinery, and light industry.
