The Blood Transfusion Service of Namibia has taken immediate steps to address a severe shortage of vital lifesaving equipment, which is believed to be currently stored in the Menzies Aviation warehouse. According to NamBTS spokesperson Zita Tobin, they have expedited the procurement of essential reagents from multiple suppliers but have had to resort to manual testing, leading to a backlog in blood sample analysis.
