Katima Mulilo Urban Constituency Councillor wants improved service delivery in his constituency

Katima Mulilo Urban Constituency Councillor Kennedy Simasiku says although there has been progress in his constituency, there is still a need to improve service delivery in road networks, sewerage, water provision and business investments. Kennedy Simasiku said the situation in the Macaravani West and Nova informal settlement, where people are using communal taps, is worrisome. He said a solution needs to be found urgently to address the situation. Simasiku said the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development only allocated N$8 million to the Katima Mulilo Town Council, which is minimal compared to other towns. He however said whatever funds the town receives should make an impact on the ground, because people demand the best, especially with the leaders whom they have elected in power.
