Japan commits N$28 billion investment

Japan has affirmed its intent to invest N$28 billion in Namibia’s mining industry if Japanese companies opt to engage in the nation’s mining activities. Minister for Economy, Trade, and Industry, Nishimura Yasutoshi, revealed Japan’s aspirations to expand collaboration with Namibia beyond mining, encompassing technical expertise, human resources, green hydrogen, and infrastructure development through public-private partnerships.
