The Institute for Public Policy Research is advocating for the swift implementation of the Rent Control Bill to address rising rental costs and protect tenants from exploitation. Namibia is currently facing a housing crisis, making affordable accommodation hard to come by and home ownership out of reach for many. Minister Erastus Uutoni is aiming to have the bill implemented by the end of 2023.
