President Hage Geingob has called on Israel and Palestine, including Hamas to desist from any horrific acts of violence that target civilians, leading to an escalation of the conflict. Geingob also calls for the release of hostages in accordance with international law. He express a deep concern about the grave humanitarian situation in northern Gaza following deadly attacks by the Israeli Defence Force on innocent civilians, including women and children, and civilian infrastructure. In a press statement issued by the Presidency, the head of state appealed to the international community and specifically Israel to end the large-scale violence and horrendous airstrikes against the people of Gaza.
