The Erongo Governor called for collaborative efforts between municipalities and town councils with stakeholders in the region to enable development. Neville Andre Itope says this will allow for an accelerated shared effort of bringing services to the people. Nine houses have so far been electrified through an investment of N$28 million from the Swakopmund Municipality for electricity infrastructure in the informal settlement, which was then donated to Erongo RED to ensure connection. The electricity distributor committed N$1.5 million to the project.
