Disaster teams in KwaZulu-Natal are assisting those affected by deadly heavy rains

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Co-operative Governance says disaster management teams are currently assisting those affected by heavy rains that have battered parts of the province. Four people died in Mtubatuba, while an unconfirmed number of people have been reported missing. The department’s spokesperson, Siboniso Mngadi, says the storm tore roofs off houses and caused damage to infrastructure, including power cables, roads and bridges:
