Cuban President arrived in Namibia on Saturday for an official State visit and Heroes’ Day celebrations. Miguel Diaz-Canel is on a three-day visit to Namibia as a guest of honor to the 33rd Heroes’ Day celebrations,as well as scheduled bilateral discussions with President Hage Geingob. His visit also includes meetings with the Cuban health volunteers and the Cuban community in Namibia and Namibians who studied in Cuba. The Ministry of Health and Social Services has a total of 92 volunteers from Cuba, of whom the majority are specialists, pharmacists and biomedical engineers.
