Central Procurement Board faces setbacks

The Central Procurement Board of Namibia is facing disruptions due to fraudulent submissions of tender documents, alongside prolonged legal proceedings linked to appeals. CPBN Chairperson and Acting Administrator, Amon Ngavetene explained that matters related to fraud are time-consuming in awarding tenders because the Board has to fact-check and wait for litigation outcomes to move forward. Ngavetene acknowledged challenges in preventing loopholes, including fraudulent document submission and collusion.
