Ministers of Communications from BRICS countries are scheduled to hold meetings in Cape Town this week as part of preparations for the group’s summit later this month. According to the SABC, Ministers from South Africa, Brazil, Russia, India, and China will hold discussions on several topics, with a focus on updates from the digital economy task force. Among the key issues to be addressed is cooperation in advancing the digital economy to ensure expanded digital access for all communities.
