ANC secretary general Fikile Mbalula has rejected claims of fear surrounding Public Enterprises minister Pravin Gordhan in the party. He clarified various ministers, including Gordhan and Water and Sanitation minister Senzo Mchunu, have been held accountable for their actions. Briefing the media following the national executive committee meeting, Mbalula said they reviewed state-owned enterprises, with a focus on Eskom and Transnet. He says the committee welcomes the reconfiguration and stabilisation of the Transnet board to address rail and transport challenges.
