Africa Report warns that Namibia’s ambitious hydrocarbon projects pose risks to tourism and biodiversity

The Africa Report warns that Namibia’s ambitious hydrocarbon and port expansion projects would accelerate economic growth, but poses risks to tourism and biodiversity. Nature is one of Namibia’s greatest resources, attracting more than 1.6 million tourists at its pre-pandemic height, in 2019. Here is the Environment, Forestry, and Tourism ministry’sSpokesperson  Romeo Muyunda, with his comment.
 And the Hospitality Association of Namibia’s CEO Gitta Paetzold also gave her opinion on the matter.
