Former president Jacob Zuma has been summoned to appear before the state capture inquiry from 16 to 20 November. eNCA reports that Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo said he would be failing as State Capture Inquiry Chairperson if he didn’t compel Zuma to testify at the commission. South Africa’s former president is allowed to do this via video link. Zuma however, through his lawyers, earlier wrote to the Commission that he would not be appearing unless Zondo recuses himself, accusing the chairperson of bias.
